What It Does
Sitewide Notice WP adds a simple dismissible or persistent message bar to the bottom of every page on a WordPress site, letting administrators type in a short notice (sales, announcements, alerts) that appears site-wide via a shortcode or automatic injection. It is a one-field plugin with minimal configuration, suited for quick sitewide broadcasts without page builders or widgets.
Who It's For
This plugin is best for small site owners who want to drop in a single bottom-of-page announcement bar with zero setup, such as local businesses running a flash sale, nonprofits broadcasting a donation drive, or event venues advertising ticket availability. If you need only one global message and do not require scheduling, A/B testing, or granular targeting, this plugin does the job quickly.
Who Should Skip It
If you need sticky top bars, scheduled or rotating notices, multiple simultaneous campaigns, or per-page targeting, look elsewhere, since this plugin is limited to a single message and bottom placement. Larger e-commerce or media sites with thousands of daily visitors will also find 3,000 installs and no resolved support threads a thin track record for mission-critical announcements.
The Bottom Line
Sitewide Notice WP is a tight, single-purpose plugin that does one thing reasonably well, evidenced by a 92 rating score and a maintenance score of 92 driven by fresh updates. However, the lack of any support thread history and a modest 3,000 installs make it harder to recommend over Simple Banner for most production sites. It is a fair choice for hobby or low-stakes sites that want a quick, simple bar without feature bloat.
